25th of January 2024: ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre under guidance of Head ICAR AP Basar and team of Scientist and technical from the centre participated in six days Pineapple festival which was organized by Bagra committee at Hige Bagra village of West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh from 19th to 24th of January various technologies in forms of products,poster,model and live specimens was exhibited for the farmers and visitors during the fest .The programme was inaugurated by Honble Shri Tage Taki , Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry , Dairy and fisheries accompanied by Shri Tumge Bagra Hon'ble Minister Industries Skill Development Textile & Handicrafts Trade & Commerce Lab our and Employment and Co-operation .Apart from exhibition, farmers scientist interaction programme was also conducted for giving awareness to farmers about Pineapple cultivation .On the closing day Shri Pema Khandu Honorable Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh visited the stall. The dignitaries appreciated the works done by the centre and suggested for value addition in processing and packaging of pineapple in terms of gem, jelly, juices etc by engaging local for marketing and promotion in the region.
